Demand Response

Demand Response (DR) programs offer generous financial incentives for commercial and industrial customers who have the ability to modify or reduce their energy consumption during periods of peak electricity demand.

DR payments can be in the tens of thousands of dollars, depending on client size, and can be an efficient method of reducing your total energy portfolio cost. In order to qualify for DR financial incentives, customers must be able to commit to reducing or temporarily curtailing their energy consumption for a short period of time. Many demand response customers have the ability to use standby power or emergency generators.

Demand response is available in areas of the country where peak summer electricity demand creates strain on infrastructure and a heightened threat of brownouts on power grid operators, such as PJM and NEISO.

Reverse Auctions

Saving money on electricity and natural gas has never been easier. Now, you can have energy suppliers bid for the opportunity to serve your energy needs. we conduct reverse auctions for larger industrial energy users, and now for Aaltra Energy client aggregations, too.

In a traditional auction, the highest bid wins; however, in a reverse auction, energy suppliers offer lower and lower bids, until the lowest bidder wins at the close of the auction. Reverse auctions are ideal for groups, such as business associations and our own Aaltra Energy client aggregations.
